Samantha Reese's fascination with beauty started back when she was just an overactive toddler. It was her morning routine, that sparked her infatuation with beauty, hair and makeup in particular. At the young age of 11, Samantha convinced her mother to let her transform half of their finished basement (as she grew up in Michigan) into a full-service salon, as she had taught herself how to do basic hairstyling, makeup, and acrylic nails. To find customers, she and her childhood best friend set out on foot, in her quiet East Lansing, Michigan neighborhood, literally going door-to-door, soliciting her neighbors asking if they "needed [their] hair done."
Now, almost 2 decades later, after trying her hand at acting, while living in Los Angeles, hair and makeup artistry was still a part of the picture, as she did side jobs for film, TV and Music videos as a Makeup Artist. At the time, she didn't realize that those small (and some not so small) projects working behind the scenes, were seeds being planted for what she would ultimately be doing, and have such a passion for.
Today, Samantha works full time as a freelance makeup artist. She workshop on runway shows such as Atlanta International Fashion Week, Escada, Christian Dior, Etro, Versace, and more, for brands such as Porsche, and Home Depot, and a myriad of independent films and commercial ads.- John Briggs was born on 1 February 1967 in Tampa, Hillsborough County, Florida, USA.
